Who we are

Five things worth knowing before you pay anybody 99¢ a month to keep your website online.

Who you are actually buying from

Analytix Media LLC, trading as Lemonade Host. That is the company on your contract and the name that appears on your card statement.

It is a small company. There is no call centre and no sales team — email [email protected] and a person reads it. We aim to answer within one working day.

We never see your card

Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card number goes to them, never to us — we store an identifier that lets us charge the card you approved, and nothing else. If you want to change or remove a card, the button on your billing page opens Stripe's own secure page.

The first payment on any new site is covered by a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Where your site actually lives

On our own hardware, in an office in the United States, behind Cloudflare. Every site gets a free address and a certificate, so it is served over HTTPS from the minute it goes live — including the free address, not only a domain you bought.

We host static websites: pages, pictures, styles. Nothing you upload is ever executed on our machines, which is the single biggest reason a site here is hard to break into.

Your work is kept, and you can go back

Every time you publish, the previous version is kept. If a change goes wrong you can put the old one back yourself, from the site's Versions page, without asking us.

Deleting a site puts it in the trash for 30 days before anything is erased, so a mistake made on a Friday is still recoverable on the Monday.

Leaving is a button, not a phone call

You can stop a site renewing, or delete it, from inside your account at any hour. There is no retention line to call and no notice period. A site you stop renewing stays up until the end of the term you have already paid for.

We do not sell your data, and we put no advertising on your site — the 99¢ is the whole business model, which is exactly why there is no free tier.
